WPTC In The Community |
The Wash Park Tennis Club isn't just about members coming together to play tennis, but also extending our love for the sport to the Denver and Colorado community. When we spread the love of tennis, everyone benefits! We provide both financial and volunteer support to a variety of programs. In the past we've supported events such as Racquets for All and Net Results Junior Tennis. Wash Park Tennis Club has annually donated $500 to the Colorado Youth Tennis Foundation which promotes the physical, emotional and social development of ALL youth to aspire to become active, productive and responsible citizens. By providing individual player scholarships and program grants to kids and organizations throughout the state, the CYTF ensures that juniors from small rural towns as well as from larger metropolitan areas benefit from the sport. WPTC is also proud to have provided financial support to the TennisFest Series. In 2016, the club contributed $1,000 to TennisFest. Marrying arts and culture with athletics, USTA Colorado and Denver Parks & Recreation hosted a series of events where participants of all ages and abilities are able to access community resources and information about various tennis programs in the city. Additionally, everyone got to participate in a day of fun tennis instruction, games, and giveaways. On behalf of the kids who have benefited from the club's generosity, we extend a gracious thank you to all of our members! |
